Foxglove Field is well-connected to some of the most beautiful parts of the country. The nearby coastal town of St Ives is just a 20 minute drive away, or 15 minutes on the train from St Erth railway station. St Ives, a picturesque harbour town on the Celtic Sea coast, is stepped in history. Centuries-old pubs, independent shops and cottages line the narrow, cobbled streets, and walking tracks connect the town to the sandy beaches of Porthmeor and Porthgwidden.
Contemporary St Ives is a hub for artists, boasting the Tate St Ives, a 100-year collection of West Cornwall creativity. Beyond the Tate, plentiful small, local galleries also exhibit home-grown talent, owing to the beauty of the landscapes and quality of the natural light.
St Ives has no shortage of food and drink options. Stop into The Sloop Inn, circa 1312, for a local ale and enjoy the views over St Ives Bay. If you’re keen to try some local delicacies, try the award-winning Porthminster Café for net-fresh seafood. If you’re undecided, wander down The Warren and peruse the diversity of dining options.
