Spend an afternoon in Porthleven

If you're considering things to do in Cornwall, Porthleven is a beautiful coastal fishing town just 20 minutes drive from us at Foxglove Field, or accessible in less than 40 minutes using the bus from Goldsithney. It's one of our favourite places to visit and there's lots to do.

We love to visit The Ship Inn for a pint sat on the benches outside overlooking the harbour. As well as a beautiful view and a warm, inviting atmosphere inside, The Ship also offers weekly events; on Movie Mondays they show a new film every week, accompanied by snacks and a rolling menu of flavoured popcorns. Tuesday is Games Night, and Wednesday is Quiz Night. On top of all this they also have live music which you can find out about on their website.

The Mussel Shoal is also well worth a visit. From the café kiosk on the quay they serve delicious French-style bistro food, and as if that wasn't exciting enough, you can book to be taken out to dine on the pontoon in the harbour.
